B Shed/B & C Berth Deck Replacement & B Shed Services Upgrade Works

Project Overview

Fortec was engaged by Fremantle Ports for the B Shed and B & C Berth Deck Replacement and B Shed Services Upgrade Works. The project involves demolition and replacement of sections of the existing berth deck and superstructure, including pile repairs and concrete deck replacement, to extend the service life and improve the structural capacity of the facility.

The works have been developed to achieve a minimum design life of 25 years, with deck load ratings of Class 15 for the B and C Berth deck replacement and Class 10 for the B Shed deck replacement. The approach prioritises the reuse of existing supporting piles and structural elements where practicable.
